Tik Tok creator academy
The TikTok creator academy is an innovative 3-week program for 12 young creators. Training will be provided by ENS Louis-Lumière at the Victorine Studios and the Villa Arson in Nice. The goal is to provide these rising creators with a program comprising mentoring and the necessary tools to develop their narrative skills, in order to produce the best possible content. At the heart of this residency is the desire to expose participants to a professional environment built around training modules (writing, directing, shooting, editing) taught by screenwriters and technicians, and to tutor residents while they work on their own projects.
Program overview
- A remote training module dedicated to writing. Residents will also get coaching on their projects.
- An in-person workshop module in Nice, at Villa Arson and Victorine Studios. Residents will produce their projects and alternate artistic and technical roles, under the supervision of their mentors. These pilots will be shot and produced at Villa Arson and Victorine Studios.
- A plenary session with all participants and mentors, as well as an externel figure serving as patron of this first edition of the residency.
Program requirements
Candidate profile
All creators 18 years of age or older are eligible. Candidates must be France or EU residents. Winners of the TikTok Short Film 2022 edition are also eligible.
Synopsis of projects for the residency (no more than 3 pages)
Applicants must submit a synopsis for their projects fulfilling the following requirements :
- No prior development by a production company or third-party, nor be an adaptation of a book, article, or any third-party product
- No prior support from any other program
- Creators must retain proprietary ownership on their projects including copyright
- Projects must take into account that residents will alternate artistic and technical roles, under the supervision of a mentor. Pilots will be shot and produced at Villa Arson and Victorine Studios.
Number of admitted candidates
12 winners will be selected to participate in the Tik Tok creator academy. Winners will be selected based on the application they submit, their background and overall fit with the program, artistic ambition, and motivation. The jury will be be composed of professionals from the audiovisual industry and representatives from program partners.

Program costs
For in-person training sessions, 2nd class train tickets (French territory only), accommodation expenses and meals will be covered. Accommodation will be organized by program coordinators.
